We are an all-volunteer organization and our members provide the foundation for our continuing dedication to the artistry of pyrotechnics.  If you are a fireworks enthusiast, serious about safety and want to expand your firework horizons, you have come to the right place.  There is a saying… there are old pyros and bold pyros but very few old and bold pyros.  We have been around for 30+ years.  Yah… we are old and bold.

Our members are active hobbyists, professional firework display operators, a large number of highly talented builders and retired professionals who enjoy the ability to showcase their skills and pass on their knowledge to people dedicated to the art and science of fireworks.

If you enjoy shooting fireworks, we present numerous public displays throughout the year.  Members are the set-up crews for these events.  It is essential that prospective members understand that the production of a fireworks event is a major commitment of time, energy and physical activity.  Since we are an all-volunteer organization, our philosophy is to spread the work around, learn from each other and enjoy doing so.

In addition to public displays, we also enjoy member only events such as building events, safety training and club shoots where the members meet in a relaxed environment.  These events offer a chance to: learn from highly skilled and experienced masters; take and refine training; enjoy a safe venue where new ideas and effects can be attempted under controlled conditions (with an audience of fellow members that can be quite discerning in whether you have succeeded); see firework product demos; and shoot your own fireworks if you like.  In short, we are a member driven organization and if you have an area of interest involving pyrotechnics… speak up and expand your knowledge!

The NLP is always looking for new members who are enthusiastic, hard working and safety conscious.  Ask yourself the following questions...

• Do you wish you could see more than 1-2 shows a year?
• Would you like to learn how public firework displays are set up?
• Do you really love fireworks?
• Would you like to go to a member event, where you can legally shoot fireworks?
• Would you like to meet and learn from highly skilled masters with 10, 20, 30 and even 40 years of experience in fireworks?
• Are you interested in how to safely prepare and present a beautiful show?
• Do you REALLY love fireworks!
